I don’t know where to start with this. This is an absolutely phenomenal clone of Bleu De Chanel Eau De Parfum. I’ve worn BDC EDP daily for several years and I can’t believe how similar this is from the opening all the way to the dry down, which is impressive in itself because a lot of clones have really harsh openings.

I can’t really bring myself to put a percentage of closeness on it as many reviewers do, but no one would ever know….put it that way.

As far as performance goes, it’s a bit complicated…..

With the original BDC EDP I get about 8 hours longevity on skin and 20+ hours on clothes. I get beast projection for the first hour, decent projection for the second hour, moderate projection for the third hour, light projection for the fourth and fifth hour and it then starts to become a skin scent thereafter, but throughout the life of the fragrance it ALWAYS has an amazing scent trail – something that’s often overlooked with BDC EDP. I spray 5 times.

With the KDJ Inspired version (the spray) I get about 8 hours longevity on skin and 20+ hours on clothes – so just like the original.

It starts off projecting decently, but never beast….BUT….it stays projecting decently for longer. So in other words imagine BDC EDP in it’s second hour – that’s how the KDJ version projects, but it stays at that level for the first 3 hours, then starts to get lighter.

So what that means is in the first hour BDC EDP projects stronger, in the second hour they’re the same and in the third hour KDJ is stronger. The KDJ also has an amazing scent trail throughout it’s life just as the original does. My wife says she can always smell the KDJ on me regardless of how strong or light it is – it’s always there. Again that’s with 5 sprays….obviously if you spray more it will be beast. I hope that all makes sense!

So you could argue, as I would, KDJ is better than the original. BDC EDP is £115 for 150ml. So assuming that’s your budget, you can get 300ml (double) of KDJ for the same price…….so even if you feel the need to wear double or reapply at some point in the day, it’s still the same price as BDC EDP however people can ALWAYS smell it on you – unlike the original. And because the opening is spot on, you don’t need to worry about reapplying.

The atomizer is also very good – you get a medium burst of mist that spreads the same as the original.

Something else I got, and will continue to get, is the oil version. I add the oil to fragrance free shower gel to get an amazing BDC EDP scented shower gel. As a side note – the original shower gel is based on the EDT….you can’t actually get an official EDP version of the shower gel unless you use this method 😉

Once again when you compare the price of the original shower gel to the oil/fragrance free shower gel it’s considerably cheaper.

So overall this is a WAY more cost effective way of always smelling exactly the same as BDC EDP. I can’t believe I’m only the second person to review this – it’s a hidden gem.

Absolutely well done to KDJ on this formulation. It doesn’t smell synthetic in any way at all. It’s as natural and high quality smelling as the original. As long as they don’t change it, I’ll keep on buying it. Very impressive copy 🙂

Our senses are extraordinary – non more so than our sense of smell.

Science has proven that our sense of smell plays an incredibly important role in our memory, moods and emotions. This is as result of messages sent to a part of the brain known as the limbic system.

Certain scents have the power to evoke particular memories from throughout our lives. This can often happen when we least expect it – with fragrances acting as a trigger, making us recall an event, experience or feeling so vividly, we feel as if we have been transported back to that moment.

In addition to this, smells can be highly emotive. The perfume industry depends on this, the connection between scent and emotion provides the ability to create products that work to automatically make us feel a certain way. Wearing our favourite scent can make us feel confident, powerful, desirable, strong and uplifted.

The power of fragrance is not to be underestimated.

The fragrance we spritz ourselves with before we start our day can have an immense impact on our productivity, thoughts and feelings, both positively and negatively.

It is therefore important for us to wear a fragrance that contains ingredients which work to promote the positive emotions we desire.

Some notes you should look out for when choosing your perfect fragrance:

Zesty and invigorating, citrus notes are a popular addition to both feminine and masculine fragrances. Scents such as lemon, grapefruit and orange will energize and help to give your mood a lift.

As well as its classic elegance, the scent of rose is known to have anti-depressant properties, which work in a fragrance to calm and uplift your mood.

Warm and spicy, cinnamon is a fragrance which helps to promote relaxation. Although obviously down to the individual, cinnamon scents have been popular due to their ability to trigger warm, comforting, family memories.

Lavender is a highly popular and versatile scent, which makes an appearance in many fragrances. It is a clean scent, notorious for aiding relaxation and reducing anxiety.

At KDJ inspired, we are a family business with a love for all of these scents, and many more! We make it our duty to assist you in your search for finding the perfect fragrance for you.

Use our website to search by ‘Scent Notes’, allowing you filter our array of fragrances to find those containing your desired ingredient…

Even though we may not think it, perfumes play a very important role in our lives. A certain scent can trigger a memory, mood or emotion.

As one season flows into another, bringing its own feelings and memories with it, we can change our fragrances to suit.

“Florals? For Spring? Groundbreaking.” – although to fashion editor Miranda Priestley in The Devil Wears Prada, the concept is tired and overdone, when it comes to a spring fragrance, there really is no other option.

As the flowers begin to bloom and the weather brightens, we need a fragrance that reflects that.

You should opt for a fresh, floral scent, with notes of rose, lily of the valley or peony.

Here comes the sun! Whether you like to spend your summers at home or abroad, you need a fragrance to suit.

In summer, citrus scents work best, whether that be lemon verbena, neroli or grapefruit. Coconut also works well as a summer fragrance, with its unmistakable refreshing scent.

As autumn rolls around, the season synonymous with falling leaves and cool temperatures needs a signature scent too.

Woody and spicy undertones are an autumn must. Try a fragrance with notes of sandalwood, pepper or cardamom.

As the festive season approaches, you need a warm and inviting fragrance to combat the cold.

With fragrances containing notes of ginger, cinnamon or maybe even dark chocolate, you really can’t go wrong.

On our website, you will find a fragrance for every season and more besides! Take a look at our ‘Scent Notes’ page and find your favourite…
