Inspired by Thameen Carved Oud, this is an evocative of royalty and opulence, and an intoxicating fragrance, ready to impress. A hypnotizing scent, it’ll leave you mesmerized by pure patchouli and the sweet tones of vanilla that are destined to last all day. The unique oud from the South of India, angular and sweetly edgy, dictates this heavenly scent. The top note blends beautifully with cedar wood and guaiac. At the base, a pure patchouli and sunbaked vetiver add depth and warmth polished off by a smooth, temperate musk.

I ordered a 50ml (22% oil) of this, I have to say it does smell very similar to ‘Carved Oud’ which I own the original this is based on, my issue is the performance, it only projected for 1 hour before it became an intimate scent, which is not what you want, the original projects more and for longer and from smelling both side by side I canonly conclude that maybe that is down to the original using more of the musks that make-up the oud accord at the base. I hope this review is useful and KDJ improve this product because the original is one of my all-time favourite niche fragrances but to expensive and I’d love to be able to find a good replacement, let me know if you update teh formulation and I’ll be sure to try it out and update my review.
