Inspired by Number 5, the fragrance is a timeless classic. The ylang-ylang and rose are dominant. It drains down to a lovely clean powdery scent with a tinge of sweetness and soft amber musk. It is a very lady-like fragrance, having floral sweetness in the background, powdery iris, and delightful top notes. The base notes are so creamy and woodsy in the most beautiful, soft, sexy way. The notes blend together so well it’s hard to pick them out; it is a complex fragrance, and it morphs so much from opening to drying down, it’s a pleasure to wear and sniff throughout the day.

I wasn’t keen on this. Like the original, it needs to settle before you get that amazing powdery, floral scent. Unlike the original, this one had a smell of petrol while it was settling.
