I don’t know where to start with this. This is an absolutely phenomenal clone of Bleu De Chanel Eau De Parfum. I’ve worn BDC EDP daily for several years and I can’t believe how similar this is from the opening all the way to the dry down, which is impressive in itself because a lot of clones have really harsh openings.
I can’t really bring myself to put a percentage of closeness on it as many reviewers do, but no one would ever know….put it that way.
As far as performance goes, it’s a bit complicated…..
With the original BDC EDP I get about 8 hours longevity on skin and 20+ hours on clothes. I get beast projection for the first hour, decent projection for the second hour, moderate projection for the third hour, light projection for the fourth and fifth hour and it then starts to become a skin scent thereafter, but throughout the life of the fragrance it ALWAYS has an amazing scent trail – something that’s often overlooked with BDC EDP. I spray 5 times.
With the KDJ Inspired version (the spray) I get about 8 hours longevity on skin and 20+ hours on clothes – so just like the original.
It starts off projecting decently, but never beast….BUT….it stays projecting decently for longer. So in other words imagine BDC EDP in it’s second hour – that’s how the KDJ version projects, but it stays at that level for the first 3 hours, then starts to get lighter.
So what that means is in the first hour BDC EDP projects stronger, in the second hour they’re the same and in the third hour KDJ is stronger. The KDJ also has an amazing scent trail throughout it’s life just as the original does. My wife says she can always smell the KDJ on me regardless of how strong or light it is – it’s always there. Again that’s with 5 sprays….obviously if you spray more it will be beast. I hope that all makes sense!
So you could argue, as I would, KDJ is better than the original. BDC EDP is £115 for 150ml. So assuming that’s your budget, you can get 300ml (double) of KDJ for the same price…….so even if you feel the need to wear double or reapply at some point in the day, it’s still the same price as BDC EDP however people can ALWAYS smell it on you – unlike the original. And because the opening is spot on, you don’t need to worry about reapplying.
The atomizer is also very good – you get a medium burst of mist that spreads the same as the original.
Something else I got, and will continue to get, is the oil version. I add the oil to fragrance free shower gel to get an amazing BDC EDP scented shower gel. As a side note – the original shower gel is based on the EDT….you can’t actually get an official EDP version of the shower gel unless you use this method
Once again when you compare the price of the original shower gel to the oil/fragrance free shower gel it’s considerably cheaper.
So overall this is a WAY more cost effective way of always smelling exactly the same as BDC EDP. I can’t believe I’m only the second person to review this – it’s a hidden gem.
Absolutely well done to KDJ on this formulation. It doesn’t smell synthetic in any way at all. It’s as natural and high quality smelling as the original. As long as they don’t change it, I’ll keep on buying it. Very impressive copy
